SXSW Part Two — Scott’s Take

In the tradition of The Thin Blue Line and Paradise LostBetter This World is the latest documentary on the perils of the justice system in America—and in this case, the price of security (or the illusion thereof) in the post-9/11 world. There are no innocents in this film by Katie Galloway and Kelly Duane De La Vega, only degrees of guilt—but the hammer of federal justice ends up looking more like a tool of petty revenge than any kind of instrument designed to keep us safe. During the 2008 Republican National Convention in Minneapolis, young David McKay and Bradley Crowder were arrested and brought up on charges of domestic terrorism.
