I know it’s kinda evil to say this, because it started with innocent people dying, but two episodes in, FX’s The People vs. O.J. Simpson is still just unbelievably entertaining, full of insane moments I’d either forgotten or never knew (like the fact O.J. wrote a suicide note with a smiley face)…leading to my O.J. story #2. By coincidence, I happened to be visiting a female friend and her roommate in Brentwood the day after the murders, and when I got to their place, there was a handwritten note on the door that said, “Gone to see the blood.” This, of course, was a little unnerving, until they eventually came back and explained to me that there was a big crime scene in their usually crime-less neighborhood. And, as a result, they were planning to call their landlord to get bars installed on the windows of their first floor apartment. Which was pretty wise because, according to O.J., the killer’s still out there!
